To illustrate replacement cost comparisons Interactive Whiteboards (IWB’s) are an alternative solution to SIAB.

We make the following comparisons to highlight the value in SIAB. A survey of 24 different IWBs available in Ireland are in a price range of between €2,000 and €4,000 per unit. SIAB which is easier to install and maintain and costs substantially less  per unit. 

SIAB comes with a pre-installed App called ‘ShowMe Interactive Whiteboard’. ShowMe allows recording of voice-over class room activities for re-use. Similar to conventional whiteboards ‘ShowMe’ is used in the classroom to explain a range of topics using; voice-recording; multiple brush colours; pause and erase and image importation facilitating the collaborative, inquiry based methodology that underpins SIAB.
